A Visual Journey: Photography and Why I Love It

Image
Photography and Why I Love It Photography includes more than just putting away a second for me, it is additionally about stopping time and saving collections of memories, and communicating imagination in a special way. An energy has literally transformed my life in so many ways and I cannot wait to explain why I love it so much! The thrill of the chase is one of those things that makes photography so fun . The thrill of the chase, whether I'm trying to capture a momentary spoken word statement, an emotional sunset or an unusual wildlife sighting reigns supreme. There is something just so satisfying about being out in nature, camera at your side, waiting for the perfect moment to hit. Photos are time capsules, protecting sacred moments that would otherwise fade into oblivion. They allow us to go back in time to relive precious moments and share our stories with peopl. Be it a family gathering or an important event, photography helps us create memories that we can cherish for many ye...

My Mesmerizing Canada Trip: A Semester Break to Remember

Image
I just returned from the most memorable of my life to Canada over the semester break, and I can't wait for us to look back at the memories together. From spending time with my adorable baby nephew to exploring beautiful cities and enjoying delicious food, this trip was one for the books. My adventure began at my sister's place in Midtown Toronto. It’s always special to visit her because she’s got a baby boy who totally stole my heart. Watching him grow and playing with him was the highlight of my stay. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was our nighttime visit to Niagara Falls. Seeing the falls lit up against the dark sky was absolutely breathtaking. The falls is majestic to look at the day, but by night with the touch of the lights, it just presents itself with a different and enchanting  aura. The way the lights danced on the water made it feel like a magical experience. The next day, we headed back to Toronto, and I dove into some architectural delights. As an archite...

Sylhet: A journey through mist and memories

Image
Sylhet: A journey through mist and memories Travelling has always been my most favorite hobby. It is an excellent way to explore the world and make memories. And I created most of my memories in my college life. Our college took us on a three day trip to Sylhet. I was very excited by the fact that I was going to travel to a picturesque region along with my friends. This is a small sample of my most recent travels in Sylhet.  Sylhet is a region in northeastern Bangladesh famously known for its tea estates. It has stunning natural beauty. The hills are covered in green tea bushes. The view is breathtaking and mesmerizing. Our trip was full of excitement and anticipation. Our college took the whole responsibility of the tour. It was a journey by bus. We all took permission from our parents which took us a lot of effort. But by the end we all got the consent to go on the trip.  Day 1: Arrival . We all gathered together in our college and departed early in the morning t...

"When Heart Meets Mind: The Tug-of-War Between Emotion and Reason"?

Image
"When Heart Meets Mind: The Tug-of-War Between Emotion and Reason"?  Whenever we are about to make any decisions in our lives, our rational thoughts and emotions are the major drawbacks. This tug of war between our heart and mind defines our choices, thus these choices affect our relationships including our future. If we could understand the monopoly between the heart and brain we could make our life way more easier.  The role of emotions  Emotions are one of the most inherent parts of our life. Emotion drives our life. We taste the different aspects of life through emotions. They offer a diverse array of experiences, influencing how we see things and shaping our wants. Whether it’s the rhapsody of love, the scruple of loss,  Or the titillation of ambition. Emotion carries us to the exertion, assisting us to be attached to others and ourselves.  The positive side of emotion  Let’s talk about the comforting aspect of emotions:  Connection: Emotio...

Defying the Odds: A Fight for Freedom and Justice

Image
I reset my wallpaper with the necessary information like name, blood group, emergency phone numbers and my university name in case anyone finds me dead or injured and can immediately take action. I usually don’t pray tahajjud, but decided to pray as it could be my last prayer. Then I tried to sleep but the thrill kept me awake. I don’t know when I fell asleep. I think everyone joining the protest on 5 August, 2024 can relate with this situation when everything was so uncertain. Every night was full of terror because of the law enforcement officers and of course our previous autonomous government. My brother said if the officers find out about my participation, I could be imprisoned my whole life. But on 5 August, we finally overcame all of our dark chapters and could realize the real meaning of ‘ freedom ’. The whole thing started with a small protest about reforming quota and ended by dragging an autocrat down. This is why the quote is so true that ’Never underestimate the power...

Why I love travelling and why you should also love it

Image
Born to roam  Travelling has become more than just a hobby for me. It has become a passion that broadens my mind. That’s why I love travelling and you should also love it.   Immersion in diverse cultures is one of the most satisfying parts of travel. Every destination has own customs, cuisines, and ways of living. These experiences, like enjoying street food in Dhaka Mohammadpur or taking part in a regional celebration in khulna , leave a lasting impression and broaden one's perspective on the globe.  You push yourself to the limit when you travel. It can be difficult but very gratifying to navigate new cities, meet new people, and get beyond language hurdles. You can grow in ways you never would have imagined thanks to these experiences, which help you become more adaptive, resilient, and self-assured. If I talk about one of my travels in India, it was very pleasant and wonderful at a same time. The people around there were so friendly and very welcoming. It made my jour...

Adventure turning into worst Nightmare

Image
Back in October in 2016 , my family had planned a vacation of 8 days in Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban. It was my second time going there . But the first time we had been there when I was very little. So my excitement increased as I thought that this time I’ll be visiting all the places there that I’ve been hearing about since my childhood. I’ve been hearing since my childhood that daughters are closer to their father than their mothers. And in my case it’s indeed true. My father has  always prioritised me  tha my brother. It’s not like I love my mother any lesser but I am little biased for my father. So for the trip I remember telling my father that he has to take me to every spot I tell him to. My entire week passed with great excitement and finally the day arrived .On 9 October, we started for the journey at midnight . We reached cox’s bazar and checked into our hotel . And we had a beach view room . I couldn’t hold my excitement anymore seeing the ocean from the balcony...

How Nature Echoed the Student’s Uprising

Image
On June 5, a small protest against quota reinstatement in government jobs began in Bangladesh, which later snowballed into a massive protest by mid-July. Bangladesh has not experienced such massive protests since 1971. This protest ultimately led to Hasina’s ouster. This blog is written with this insight in mind to illustrate how the skies played along quietly, depicting the grit of the battle as nature added touch to its forces stilling close by to an ecosystem that galloped for welfare and liberty. Sky, sun, and rain – What we usually call the passive aspects of our life have since long been serving as quiet witnesses to the man- made dramas. In July and August, students in Bangladesh marched the streets, and it seemed that nature was indeed expressing their struggle. After every gathering, it seemed like nature wasn't merely containing it but mirroring their call for justice. On July 15, when the ex-government's student league attacked Dhaka University's common students...

My Cookie

Image
It's great to see how life, for the most part, takes very unimaginable turns, and yet, at the end of the line, changes us wholly. Cookie, that small kitten with a big heart, greater than her personality in comparison to her size, really managed to leave a deep imprint on my heart.  The 26th of October 2021 marked a day quite chipper, as I welcomed a new friend called Cookie into my world. An adorable little thing, the feline was just 27 days old, her eyes charming and lovable, much like her namesake. She represents the breed of cat dwarfs, which are defined by small size and tremendous character.  Taking Cookie into my place wasn't just taking  in a pet; it was taking in a new member of the  family. It was full of amazing energy from  once, that much I could tell. There was never a  dull moment whilst she was being so cheeky  and carefree. Cookie, who might have been  petite in proportions, had with her a curious  mind, partial to chee...
