| THE SUNSET TOWER |
As an architecture student, I'm always fascinated by interesting structures or buildings. The Sunset Tower, a mesmerizing creation that has caught my eyes since watching my favorite TV show named 'LUCIFER'.
It's one of the Los Angeles' most iconic buildings. The Sunset Tower was designed by Leland A. Bryant in 1929. It is a 15 storied building which is characterized by its sleek, angular lines, zigzag balconies, and its terracotta motifs.
The zigzag balconies and Moorish inspired tower add a touch of dynamism and exotism to its design. The Tower's terracotta friezes add a touch of whimsy and fantasy to the building's facade. These friezes depict plants, animals and mythical creatures.
The interior of the tower is a blend of Art Deco and Hollywood glamour.
Meanwhile, the exterior also contains some interesting features. For me, the exterior is more like minimalistic and fancy at the same time.
The building has large windows and a red carpet leading to the entrance. The roof of the building has a swimming pool and a sundeck.
The Sunset Tower is more than just a hotel. It's a piece of Hollywood history. It has been featured in several movies and TV shows including 'The Italian Job'. '500 Days of Summer', 'Cannon', 'Freaky Friday' and as I have mentioned earlier, my most favorite TV show 'Lucifer'.
